Founder
Created by a mum, events expert, and soon-to-be children’s author. The Baby Book Club began with one simple desire: to give parents an easy, joyful, and meaningful way to support their baby’s development, while enjoying an experience outside the house that truly matters.
When I became a parent, I found that many classes focused on sensory play, motor skills, or a single activity such as music. Very few combined literacy, music, movement, and supported early communication in a connected, cohesive way. I longed for something simple, memorable, developmentally supportive, and easy to repeat at home, whilst giving us both a reason to get out of the house.
Those real-life experiences, and the gaps I felt as a new parent, became the heart of The Baby Book Club.
My background has always been rooted in creativity and connection. I come from a strong theatrical foundation and have spent the past thirteen years planning events and growing the events company across the UK and Australia. Bringing ideas to life in ways that engage, delight, and build community is at the heart of what I do. I’m also the soon-to-be author of a six-part board book series, Days Spent, publishing in April 2026, a project inspired by the everyday magic (and chaos) of toddlerhood.
The Founder
The program where all these threads come together: storytelling, music, child development, performance, and building community. Research consistently shows that babies thrive when exposed to rhythm, rhyme, singing, and shared reading. Music strengthens the brain’s language pathways. Rhyme builds phonological awareness, one of the earliest predictors of reading success. Reading together enhances bonding, boosts vocabulary, sparks imagination, and lays the foundation for long-term literacy. Importantly, these benefits begin long before a child can talk or read themselves.
I’m passionate about nurturing that foundation early and contributing to the growing movement of offering families meaningful alternatives to screens. It’s not enough to say “avoid screen time”, because parents need accessible, engaging activities they can enjoy with their babies both in and out of the home. That’s exactly what The Baby Book Club provides.
For me, this is more than a business. It’s a space for connection. A place where parents feel supported, babies feel engaged, and families build a lifelong love for reading - one book, one song, and one joyful moment at a time.
